Slip n Slide Fun!

Some may ask what I do with 7 children. Well, this is it...so we are pretty much screwed if we have any rainy days:)

Water, Parades, Fairs, and more!

I still cannot get over the gorgeous, sunny, hot weekend we had. In my eyes, it was a perfect weather weekend. In my last blog, I shared what my Saturday looked like. Here is a little what Sunday looked like...

After church, the children and I enjoyed the weather by playing outside and even had a little picnic (we didn't want to waste a second of the weather!).

My dear friend Kelsey Carlock is getting married in July. Her sister, aka my best friend, aka Tara, hosted a BEAUTIFUL shower for her sister. It was a vintage garden theme and had so many detailed decorations. It was wonderful. (I will post pics but I my computer won't let me at this moment.)

While I was at the shower, I received a text from my dear husband. It was a video of my son walking. It made me want to cry. I am home with this boy EVERY DAY ALL DAY LONG and he decides to walk the 3 hours I am not with him. Little squirt:) He has been walking quite a bit and getting better and better.

I met up with my little family at the softball fields. The kids were wonderful and enjoyed being there...which is good considering they are going to be growing up at ball parks!

To end the night, we headed over to Chris and Sharron Bower's house to grill out. We spent the evening outside while the kids played in the rocks and Hayden made best friends with Sharron and played tea party over and over...and over. I am telling you, it is so neat to watch Hayden's imagination. She used to just play with the tea set by putting everything in and taking everything out of the container. She now sets everything out, pretends to pour the tea, pretends to drink it and eat her soup. I absolutely LOVE this stage...like SO MUCH. She has become a best friend to me and I am taking in every second of our little chats (which I swear is in a different language half the time).
OHHH! And...My little boy has 2 more teeth coming in on the bottom and one more up top. This doesn't seem "important" to most of you...but it is to me! So that brings us to a total of 9 teeth. WOOHOO!
The week has started of great and we are once again enjoying the sunshine. We went on a bike ride on Monday evening with my sister (she is quite proud of her bike-it's the first one she has owned since her Barbie bike!). We rode to Flavor Freeze and enjoyed some ice cream. The kids absolutely loved the whole adventure and are getting better and better in the little bike carrier thingy....although Colt just wanted to love on his sister, Hayden wasn't having it, but that was the only glitch:)
Although Tuesday was not as hot as it has been, we did enjoy playing outside and even got to take the boat out for just a little bit. I am telling you ladies and gents (if any gents are even reading this), I LOVE SUMMER...every single aspect of it. Can you tell?
Yesterday was jammed packed with lots of sunshine, laughter, and fun. I was able to work most of the morning yesterday on Shaklee as the kids all played nicely together. Since it was a hot day and Nic had the day off, we took the 4 kiddos to the Splash Park in Elkhart. It was so neat. I have never been before and to say the kids loved it would be an understatement.

Later that day I took the kids and headed to Bremen with one of my best friends. We spent the evening eating, watching the parade, and then heading to the fair. I have to admit. I was a little nervous taking the kids by myself and them having complete melt downs, but they were perfect. Hayden was glued to Jac and rode the rides with Mac. Colt was quite content as long as he had his basketball. The weather was also perfect. I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful night. It was also Hayden and Colt's first fair!
