Christmas Day

Merry Christmas!!
What a wonderful today has been. Although the kids are still not up to par, I think they are getting there. They didn't sleep well last night...they were too excited for presents.
Today was not only a day of celebration for the birth of our Savior, it was also the day that my precious Hayden asked Jesus into her heart!
On the way from Nana's to my parents' house, she was asking question after question about heaven...after us discussing Jesus' birthday and what that meant. She said she wanted to go to heaven and asked if she got there by going up the stairs and holding Jesus' hand. I explained to her how the only way to heaven was by asking Jesus to come into her heart and asking Him to forgive her sins. She kept telling me she wanted to do that...so, in the car, she repeated the prayer after me and when we were finished she had the biggest smile on her face. I cannot even put into words what that moment meant to me as a mother.
I have prayed from the time I found out I was pregnant with her that this day would come. I pray that for each of my children. I know she is young but she seemed to truly understand what it all meant.
What a special day.
