My Princess is Now 4

Dear Precious Hayden,
Today you turn four years old. That is 1...2...3...4!! Hayden, you are my princess. I can't even express to you how much I love you. You are my oldest. You are my girl. You will always be my baby though. Over this past year you have grown so incredibly much. You have had a lot of changes this year and you have gone with the flow. I am so proud of you.
You love to talk. All the time. Your imagination has just exploded and just to listen and watch you makes my heart explode. You sure love playing with Bubby...however, you also love to get in trouble with him:) I can tell when you 2 are up to no good when everything goes quiet! My favorite sound is the laughter from you two as you are running through the house or wrestling with your daddy.
Hayden you are a beautiful girl with a beautiful soul. You are sensitive, caring, smart, and so loving. You have such a huge heart. The way you love is so amazing and so innocent. Yes, we have our ups and downs and sometimes I feel like I completely fail you. My love for you just keeps growing and growing every day. I had no idea I could love someone this much.
Over the past year you have grown into such a cuddler...like a major cuddler. Your favorite time of the day is cuddling with either me or daddy. You play with my hair and get as close as you come. You have had a very difficult time with sleeping and we have been very worried about you. Prayerfully we will find what is scaring you about your room. You have graduated to your big bed this year hoping that would encourage you to sleep in your room. Over the past few weeks you have been able to fall asleep with the lights on and stay in there until about 3 AM. Then you come in bed with us. Don't worry, baby...we will figure this all out:)
In the mean time, I will enjoy the snuggling!
You are very independent. You love to dress yourself, get yourself all ready, and even make your bed...by yourself. I love watching you grow into the amazing girl you are.
Some new things you have done over this year...
*started at a new church which you love
*started swim lessons which you are amazing at:)
*became a big sister a second time. You absolutely adore Easton and hold him constantly.
I can't believe how much you have changed and grown up in one year. You are growing up before our eyes and I just want time to stand still.
Your birthday party was also today. One of your favorite movies is Tangled, so we went with a Tangled theme. When Tara put on your outfit today, you danced around saying, "I'm a princess! I'm a princess!" You sure are. We had mini carmel apples, "paint brush" rice krispie treats, Jello boats, bread, potato soup, cheesy broccoli soup, grapes, "magic juice" (lemonade). I hope that it was a very special day for you! You deserve it.

And this is Hayden at 8:30:)
 Colt got some presents too:)

My prayer for you is that you keep growing into the amazing girl God wants you to be and that you love life and love people. I pray that you keep learning and keep loving. I pray that you keep learning about God's love for you and that you will strive to know Him. I want you so badly to know Him personally and to follow after Him. I love you sweet girl...more than you will ever, ever know. Happy Birthday!
Love,
Mommy

Craft Day

Today was craft day. Tara came over and we spent most of the day just doing little crafts...nothing big. But it was nice. I wish I was more creative though:) Gotta love Pinterest! Seriously though, that has got to be the most addicting website ever! It gets me into trouble.
Got Hayden's skirt done for her birthday...

Good day! We also had swim lessons and dinner with dad, Kristen, and Jenn Goethel! Good to see that girl again! Can't believe she is so old...I used to change her diapers:)

Our Weekend...

This weekend was supposed to be Nic's last tournament for the year. I had been looking forward to it for awhile because it meant a weekend with just me and my man (and littlest man). We headed up Friday morning and spent the day shopping and eating some good food. Little Easton was perfect during the ride up and during shopping. When we woke up Saturday morning we found out the entire tourney had been cancelled due to rain. Boo. I was not very happy. My dad had 2 extra tickets for the ND game and gave them to Nic so we headed back after we got ready. The good thing that came out of this was I got to spend some quality time with BOTH of my sisters and my parents...and my precious babies of course.  Thankful for that. I even got to go see Pitch Perfect with my sister and parents today. So even though the weekend didn't go quite as planned, it still turned out great.

Thanks mom and dad and sisters and sister's friends for watching my 2 babies!!
