Ok, so I know that I am getting really behind on my blog posts...but...for some reason (or 3) I just can't keep up. By the time night comes, I just forget or am just plain tired. That's a good excuse, right? That's what I thought.
Anyways, over the past couple weeks we have been quite busy...not necessarily me, but Nic. He has been working A LOT of hours and so we haven't seen him much. But when we do see him, I take it all in. He found out on Thursday he got promoted to Patrol 3! I am so proud of everything that he has accomplished!
Hayden has been growing up right before my eyes, like tooooo fast. Every little thing that she does lately (besides the outraging temper tantrums:/) seems to be just another way of maturing and actually being a four year old. For example, today at lunch she was coloring, like normal. But when I looked over on her paper, there were stick figures and different shapes drawn. What?! She has also been a HUGE help with the baby. She is getting herself entirely dressed in the mornings as well as making her bed (sometimes). She has been obsessed with painting finger nails and gets upset if she gets the tiniest bit on our skin. The other day while making peanut butter cookies, she rolled them out AND did the fork pattern on the top of the cookie. I just want time to slow down just a tad so I can take it ALL in and just enjoy this age. She makes me one proud momma though!
Colt has also been changing so much. He makes us laugh with his OCD when it comes to his bouncy balls and making sure everything is just perfect. He is such a boy though. Last night I bathed him and then found him outside 15 minutes later covered in sand (don't worry, his dad was out there with him). He keeps us laughing with his little voice and his facial expressions. He is his sister's little shadow. Like all the time. Whatever she does, he does. Sometimes not so good:) But they have really been playing well together, except for the times he pushes her buttons...and he is good at that. I love the relationship growing between them.
Easton is changing by the minute. I will share more about him in a couple of days when he will be 3 months. Wow, that was hard to type. Knowing he is my last is just hard. I don't want to miss a moment. I will share that he slept through the ENTIRE night last night until 7:30 this morning. AMAZING! I know it was probably a fluke but I will take it! He is such a good baby though. Such a blessing.
Here are some photos from the past couple of weeks...
On Friday, I decided to stay at my parents since Nic was working the football game in Fort Wayne and then staying at my sister's apartment to help her move in the morning. UP mall was having this whole night of festivities, with singers, elves, real reign deer, and Santa. We thought it would be fun for the kids so we took them. I am pretty sure I was more pumped than the kids! We got to watch Santa make his grand entrance on his sleigh...it was pretty neat!
